Sanctification of a Nation

Can a nation be set apart for a sacred purpose? If
so, can it lose such status? The nation of Israel was set apart, or sanctified,
by God for His purposes, and remains so today. The United States of America was
set apart also for a sacred purpose. Has it lost its purpose, or is it still
true to it?

“Now when Abram was ninety-nine years
old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, ‘I
am God Almighty; Walk before Me, and be blameless.
I will make My covenant between Me and you,
And I will multiply you exceedingly.’

Abram fell on his face, and God talked with
him, saying,

‘As for Me, behold, My covenant
is with you,
And you will be the father of a multitude of nations.
No longer shall you be named Abram,
But your name shall be Abraham;
For I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.

 I will make you exceedingly
fruitful, and I will make nations of you, and kings will come from
you.  I will establish My covenant between Me and you and
your descendants after you throughout their generations as
an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to
your descendants after you.  And I will give to
you and to your descendants after you the land where you live as a
stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will
be their God.’” (Genesis 17:1-8)

“But God said, ‘No, but your wife Sarah will bear
you a son, and you shall name him Isaac; and I will establish My
covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after
him. As for Ishmael, I have heard you; behold, I will bless
him, and make him fruitful and multiply him exceedingly. He shall
father twelve princes, and I will make him into a great nation. But
I will establish My covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you
at this season next year.’ When He finished talking with him, God
went up from Abraham.” (Genesis 17:19-22)

Through Abraham, his son Isaac, and Isaac’s son Jacob who became known as
Israel, the nation of Israel came to be. From this family line came Jesus
Christ, the son of God in the flesh to bear and pay for with His perfect life
the sins of man; for those who confess their sins, repent of their sins, and
believe in this good news. The sin debt was paid in full through His death on a
cross, and victory over sin was made by His resurrection to life.

The United States was sanctified to take across America and to the world the
message of the free gift of eternal life in heaven and salvation from the
punishment of hell because of our sin.

In 1607, an expedition led by Pastor Robert Hunt arrived in Virginia Beach.
When they arrived in Virginia, the expedition dedicated
America to the glory of God. They planted a rough-hewn wooden cross, which they
brought from England, in the sand and prayed:

“We do hereby dedicate this Land, and ourselves,
to reach the People within these shores with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to
raise up Godly generations after us, and with these generations take the
Kingdom of God to all the earth. May this Covenant of Dedication remain to all
generations, as long as this earth remains, and may this Land, along with
England, be Evangelist to the World. May all who see this Cross, remember what
we have done here, and may those who come here to inhabit join us in this Covenant
and in this most noble work that the Holy Scriptures may be fulfilled.”

On November 11, 1620, the Mayflower Compact was signed:

“Having undertaken for the
Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith, and the Honour of our
King and Country, a Voyage to plant the first Colony in the northern Parts
of Virginia…”

As a nation, we can ignore the
dedication, or sanctification that was made so long ago, but that does not
change it. Not holding true to the purpose laid out by those who came to
America before us takes away the blessings God can give to us as a nation, which
seems to be occurring now. While we did hold true to our purpose, we were
blessed with peace, prosperity, and protection. Many are holding true, which
may be why we are still here as a nation. May we continue and many others renew
the dedication to fulfill our sanctification.

“Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.” (John 17:17).

Let Louisiana Lead the Way

Jeff Landry has taken the office of governor in Louisiana and now has the opportunity to let Louisiana lead the way in restoring the state and the country to the biblical and Constitutional principles on which we as a nation were founded, and which elevated it to the most peaceful, prosperous, and protected country in modern history. However, there are those, especially in Washington, that oppose returning to such a blessed status. They would rather have the country destroyed through Church-lessness, family-lessness, unconstitutionality, open borders, perversion, and other forms of godlessness which we witness occurring day by day as we buy our food, fuel our vehicles, go to libraries, drive the highways and streets, and in just about every other facet of our culture. What description fits such people who prefer death, chaos, and ruin instead of peace, prosperity, and protection except the word evil?

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12) Such wickedness is manifested in our world, so our conflict is not ultimately with democrats, liberals, or leftists, but it is a conflict of good versus evil. Since we have for years been in decline as a nation at an ever-increasing rate, it is obvious that for good to triumph over evil, we must change our strategy. Jeff Landry has the platform, the responsibility, and the authority to say no to the federal government’s evil, leftist policies, and to say yes to Louisiana policies that can be a catalyst that steers the state and the country back on course to our former status.

Cutting the federal government apron strings is the key to reducing federal power over the state. When federal handouts are received by the states, the federal government has grounds to include those handouts in its “budget” (as if Washington has a budget). https://www.taxpolicycenter.org/briefing-book/what-are-sources-revenue-state-governments

Another key to stem the overreach of Washington is to exercise state authority. While federal powers are listed and limited, state powers and the powers of the People are not. Border security is the responsibility of state governors when the federal government fails to provide that security, and Governor Abbott of Texas, along with governors of other states including Louisiana, are acting upon that responsibility.

Article 4, Section 4 of the U S Constitution mandates that the federal government provide every state protection against invasion:

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

In case the federal government does not provide this protection, the responsibility belongs to the states under Article 1, Section 10, paragraph 3:

No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.

The states are late to the game, since we have been under invasion for several years now. It is much easier to keep invaders out than to remove them once they are in, but that is the task ahead of us. Leftists will attempt to keep illegal aliens in the country, dole out work permits, and will attempt to give them citizenship, but this cannot be allowed.

Louisiana can lead the way by beginning the deportation process, starting with the sheriff of each parish enforcing the law concerning illegal entry into the country and therefore illegal entry into the state and parish. Then each state can do the same until the country’s population consists of only legal residents. The costs incurred can be recouped through a surcharge on all money wired from the United States to anywhere outside the United States. Statistics show that this amount would cover a significant portion, if not all, of the cost.

According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), the United States loses $150 billion per year in money sent abroad. This figure is from 2015 and is likely much higher now since illegal entry into the country has ballooned under the Biden Administration. The money saved through the removal of illegal aliens from every state would more than pay for deportation costs. In 2023, the nationwide cost for non-citizen education, medical, law enforcement, and welfare programs in federal dollars was $150 billion. This doesn’t include state costs, the harm caused by violent crimes of illegals, drug smuggling, terrorists and U S enemy border crossings, and the erosion of American ideals. With nearly 21 million illegals in the country in 2021, this comes to over $7,000 per deportation. In Louisiana alone, the same expenditures were $604 million in 2023. With roughly 150,000 in Louisiana illegally, over $4,000 is available to the state for each deportation.

There is plenty of money for deportations and border security through walls, personnel, and technology. The land of the free and the home of the brave is fast becoming the land of lost liberty and lawlessness, and the home of the helpless. A country that doesn’t guard all its borders is not a country at all, but only a place where power brokers squander other peoples’ money and resources until there is no more. Louisiana and the rest of the states must not let this happen.

House Speaker Mike Johnson Holds the Money Bag

A sea change has occurred in the nation’s capital. The leftwing leadership in Congress and the Oval Office has for years been influential in spreading its moral and fiscal corruption to the detriment of the country. Now, judged by his character and past behavior, an American that pledges allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all has the platform and the authority to correct the course of our country.

Mike Johnson is now the steward of Americans’ treasure that is sent to Washington to fund government expenditures. Those in government that like to spend other people’s money would have the nation believe that the use of our money is complicated, and they are the judge of how it is spent, but their role in this is simple and spelled out in Article 1, Section 8 of the United States Constitution. Basically, they are to look after the interests of Americans, not tax them into poverty and plunge them into insurmountable debt.

The course of a nation is indicated by the trail of money left behind. If the money is used properly, the nation is moving in a proper direction. If the money is used for corruption, the nation will descend into corruption. Anyone paying attention can see that we have been making a nosedive into depravity under the current White House administration.

All unconstitutional and improper Federal Government activity can be shut down by Mike Johnson and the House of Representatives by their stopping of payment for such wrongdoing. For many years now, the People’s money has been taken in excess through taxes and intentional inflation and used for unconstitutional and improper purposes. The wealth of the nation has been stolen, and the damage to the nation is untold.

Mike and the House have an opportunity to reestablish the proper method of raising revenue and its dispersion. A relatively small percentage of Americans’ wealth, say the Biblical example of ten percent, would be plentiful to fund Constitutional expenditures. Americans know how to budget and spend their money much better than government administrators, as is made evident by the multi-trillion-dollar debt that has been incurred by these agents and our representatives in Washington. No one in the business world or in a household would have such unfaithful stewards in charge of the money bag.

An individual or a family knows that to get out and to stay out of debt, they must live within their own means. Because Congress and the President are divvying up other people’s money, they continue to take more and more and spend it on “luxury” items such as foreign aid, illegal aliens, worthless inoculations, and the list goes on and on.

Unconstitutional and unnecessary government agencies swallow up vast amounts of the People’s treasure.  The Speaker and the House have the authority and responsibility to turn off their water and let the People keep their own money to build jobs and businesses, give to charity, or whatever else they decide to do with it.

The Convention of States is working to impose fiscal restraints on the Federal Government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on members of Congress. This only makes sense as we watch our money be frittered away, and American principles and ideals quickly erode. Most senators and representatives have proven that they are irresponsible with the People’s money. An Article 5 convention to propose amendments dealing with fiscal restraint, term limits, and reducing the scope and power of the federal government appears to be necessary to correct the course of the country.

Indictment of Trump, His Counsel, and the J6ers Proves Enemy Takeover

An out-of-control central government through its neo-communist Justice Department and the counterclockwise media has seized control of the country, and what is to stop them? Since the federal government is lawless and beyond self-control, it is up to the States and the People to restore law and order. Article 1, section 10 of the United States Constitution states that “No State shall, without the Consent of Congress… engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.” Evidence abounds that the states and the country have been slowly invaded within our government and across our border, and now we are in imminent danger.

The indictment of President Trump, his counsel, and the J6s are proof of an invasion of anti-Americans and the lawlessness of the Biden administration. January 6, 2021, is the day of the coup against the People of the United States. The prep work for this coup was carried out under the Obama administration in accordance with communist ideals, such as destruction of morals, pitting race against race, and clearing the upper echelon of the military of conservatism and capability.

With the power path cleared and the media being either silent or slanted, the right and duty to question and verify election results was suddenly considered illegal and dishonorable activity. After a summer of unmitigated violence and destruction, a First Amendment exercise to protest a subverted election turned ugly when the instigators of the summer chaos followed their usual method of mayhem by disrupting the petitioning of the government for a redress of grievances.

Two and a half years after the first arrests by the KGB, I mean the FBI, J6s are still awaiting bail and trial, or have been dealt harsh sentences for exercising their First Amendment rights. Meanwhile, across the country felons and illegal aliens, some extremely dangerous as is evident by their repeated offenses of rape, murder, and such behavior are being released into the public by George Soros corrupted DAs and Biden’s unlawful border policies.

Another presidential election is on the horizon, so the Left is busy about killing, stealing, and destroying its political enemies and the American ideal. President Trump is enemy number one since he is poised to be elected president again four years in arrears. The recent illegal arrests of him and his supporters are part and parcel of the Left’s strategy. Typical of communist regimes, silencing critics for daring to question the legitimacy of their authority is necessary to force their warped sense of truth upon the nation and the world.

The Biden camp does not value peace, protection, and prosperity that America has enjoyed from the hand of the God of the Bible. These blessings were abundant under President Trump after 8 years of Obama’s degradation of America. How quickly the nation went from being blessed to being cursed with unrest, danger, and deterioration when American values were rejected. Now Israel has been attacked due to the Biden policy of supporting terrorists through foreign aid and the donation of military weapons and equipment that were allowed to be left in Afghanistan.

If America is to continue as America, repentance must be made for the sins of the nation and governors must take a stand for truth. Are there any so bold as to rightly use their state police and state militia to protect those within their state from the policies of a neo-communist federal government? These policies are obviously contrary to American ideals of truth, justice, and lawfulness. Unlimited entrance to the country, permitting illegal aliens to remain in the country, unlimited spending of the People’s money, unlimited crossing of moral boundaries, cutting off the country’s sources of energy, limiting the means of self-defense, and undeterred criminal behavior are not wholesome but can only destroy “the land of the free and the home of the brave”.

Enemies of America have breached its wall of freedom. Convention of States is pushing back against the evil element that has taken control of the country. Its goal is to call an Article 5 convention to propose amendments that “limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, impose fiscal restraints, and place term limits on federal officials.” Sign the COS petition today and help restore the American ideal. Time after time our elected officials have failed Americans after empty promises of correcting the course of the country. It is now up to the States and the People.

Equal Representation in All Seats of Government

Across the country, cities large and small are crumbling. While the suburbs surrounding cities may be thriving, the inner cities are in decay. Much of this is the result of the bloated federal government that unconstitutionally puts forth failing programs time and again that waste our money and add to the problems or create new ones. It is also the result of unequal representation in local seats of government, where government offices are limited to those residing within the declining districts and eligibility is denied to qualified and worthy potential candidates living outside the districts.

Statistics and studies are not necessary. A drive through the middle of any village, town, or city is enough to see that better leadership is needed. In most cases the buildings have or are collapsing, and most of all that remains are “antique” stores, pawn shops, and tattoo parlors.

At least in county seats, or parish seats in the case of Louisiana, representation should include the whole county or parish since all those within that jurisdiction pay taxes for and conduct business in that seat of local government. The same applies to state capitals. All citizens within the state should be eligible for election to government offices within the capital city because of their tax money funding the functioning of government within that city.

At a national level, Convention of States is promoting equal representation by working to take legislative power away from unelected bureaucrats and giving that power back to the states and the people where it belongs. The 10th Amendment to the U S Constitution states exactly that: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Not just in towns and cities, but across the nation there is moral and physical corruption. Qualified leadership is lacking at every level of government, but especially in our nation’s capital. The same foolish and selfish people with the same disregard of the Constitution keep their positions in Congress for decades, pushing the country further and further from its founding principles.

Through an Article 5 convention, COS is proposing amendmentsthat will put further limitations on the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, stop wasteful and irresponsible spending of tax money, and put an end to prolonged terms of office. Taking these steps will help ensure that those elected to public office will be motivated by honorable ideals that will reshape our nation into the model that was given by the Founders and all those that sacrificed much for us and our posterity. Such action, along with following the righteous principles set forth by the Word of God, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution will set us on the correct course to stop the degeneration in towns, states, and across the nation.
