With another appointment of a Supreme Court justice, there is much talk on the right side and the wrong side of the abortion issue about whether Roe v. Wade will be overturned. The reality is that this Supreme Court decision never has carried any authority. It is only invalid authorization for certain individuals and certain groups under certain circumstances to commit murder for money and convenience.
Those on the right side should know better than to use phrases such as, “legalized abortion, make abortion illegal, or the law concerning abortion should be overturned.” Abortion is not now, nor will it ever be, legal. No opinion or edict by any branch of government, any body politic, any group, or anyone can make it legal. Neither is it a decision for any state to decide. Wrong is still wrong, no matter who declares it is right.
The One that sets all standards of right and wrong has forever made abortion wrong. The Ten Commandments given by the Creator are the basic measuring stick for what is right and what is wrong. These commandments are found in the Bible in Exodus 20:13, one of which states that you shall not murder. Since man is the created, he cannot change the Commandments to fit his own ideas of right and wrong.
God’s command is reiterated by our law in the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence, where it says, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” The right to life applies to all mankind, including born or unborn babies. It goes without saying that if they are murdered they cannot have liberty, nor can they pursue happiness.

The same applies to marriage. Man does not define marriage. It is not an issue for the Supreme Court, the states, or anyone else to settle. God established marriage. In Matthew 19:4 in the Bible, Jesus refers to the book of Genesis in the Bible, chapter 2: “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
God made only male and female. He did not make trans, bi, or any other category, and He defined marriage as between one male and one female. As it did in Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court overstepped its authority in Obergefell v. Hodges by ruling that marriage can be any other.

There is only one Who is supreme, and it is not a court made of men and women who pompously presume that they can overrule God. The Supreme Court is not supreme, and we should never grant them supremacy by using their terms such as, “legalized abortion”, or “homosexual marriage”. Our next Supreme Court justice should understand this.
