West and East are more than directions.  They are mind-sets that have their origins in the times when there was war in heaven and when the earth was new.  The terms West and East are synonymous with life and death, righteousness and evil, freedom and bondage, and love and hate.

“Then war broke out in heaven.  Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.  But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.  The great dragon was hurled down-that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray.  He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.”  (Revelation 12:7-9)

This catastrophic event set the stage for everyone on earth experiencing happiness, unhappiness, joy, sorrow, pleasure, pain, and other circumstances that we find ourselves in as we walk through the minefield of this life.  The war that began in heaven continues to rage around us, but much like the blowing wind that we cannot see, we are equipped only to see and experience the effects.

God gave the ability to choose to the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, and in an instance of being tempted by the ancient serpent, they chose to disobey God.  Through this act of disobedience Adam involved all of mankind in the war that began in heaven.  Common to any war there is death, dismemberment, and destruction.  This war is no different.  The life of ease that Adam and Eve experienced in the Garden of Eden where their Creator placed them was traded for a life of hard work, pain, and suffering. (Genesis 2 and 3)

The scriptures of the Bible contain the history of the love of God for mankind and how He made a way for us to be on His winning side of the war.  This way is only through His son, Jesus Christ.  John 3:16 tells us, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  Even those who have not read or heard of Jesus are without excuse.  In Romans 2:12-16 we are told, “For as many who have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.”

The Western mind-set is based upon the teachings of Jesus Christ; more specifically, His first and second greatest commandments.  Jesus said, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:37-40)  Although much of Western civilization has strayed from this teaching in many ways in the past and present, it is still the basis of our laws and thoughts.  Our way of life is founded upon Jesus Christ who is God, the only true god that became a sinless man to pay the price of death for our sins so that if we repent of our sins and believe in this good news we will have everlasting life.  This belief places value on faith in God’s Word, on life, on family, on mercy, on justice, on the weak, on every person, and on the country God has given us to live in.

Eastern thought is very different from and is opposed to Western thought.  Most of the world is inclined to its ideas, and many in the West that are known as Liberals, Progressives, Socialists, Leftists, or Communists are given to this thinking.  It is rooted in the irrational thought and intent that led to the rebellion in heaven.  The propensity to rebel is in everyone, and when it is given in to, it is called sin.  Those of the West know, or at least are influenced by, the truth that power to overcome sin is found in Jesus Christ.  Those of the East reject this power, resulting in false beliefs and deception.  In short, Western thought is based on truth, while Eastern thought is based on lies.  The lies are varied, such as the idea that there is no God; the idea that there are many Gods; the idea that each person comes to God in his own way; and the idea that we are all God or will become God.  There is also the lie that there is one God, but there is no Saviour, and that we must be saved by our own works.

One form of Eastern thought leads to hatred of those whose thinking is in opposition to their own, specifically the Islamic teaching to kill or enslave such people.  The difference between the Western way of promoting beliefs through love and this mind-set of hate is striking.  Their hatred is manifested in their treatment of women and children, their ruthlessness, their disregard for life, and their cowardice that leads them to harm the innocent, hide their faces, and send women and children on suicide missions to kill others.

This same spirit of hate, destruction, and cowardice is evident in riots and senseless shootings that have become common occurrences.  It is also apparent in the maltreatment of those who stand firm in truth concerning male and female, marriage, and the lives of babies.  There is a similarity of hate, ruthlessness, and destructive behavior between Islam and the Left.

West and East cannot mix.  There is one or the other.  Each person must decide which philosophy they will follow.  The one that is based on love, truth, and common sense, or the one that is based on hate, deceit, and irrationality; the one that is on the side of the Creator, or the one that is on the side of the serpent; the one that is on the winning side, or the one that is on the losing side, the one that is true, or the one that is a lie.  God tells us in the Bible, specifically in the book of Revelation, how it turns out.

It is not the economy, national defense, the environment, healthcare, affordable energy, or any other issue that needs to be addressed until we get the moral issues corrected.  The stability and wholesomeness of America hinges on a proper relationship with the One who establishes and tears down nations.

In Zephaniah 3:1-7, the LORD tells us: “Woe to her who is rebellious and polluted, to the oppressing city! She has not obeyed His voice, she has not received correction; she has not trusted in the LORD, she has not drawn near to her God.  Her princes in her midst are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves that leave not a bone till morning.  Her prophets are insolent, treacherous people; her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.  The LORD is righteous in her midst, He will do no unrighteousness.  Every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails, but the unjust knows no shame.  “I have cut off nations, their fortresses are devastated; I have made their streets desolate, with none passing by.  Their cities are destroyed; there is no one, no inhabitant.  I said, ‘Surely you will fear Me, you will receive instruction’- so that her dwelling would not be cut off, despite everything for which I punished her.  But they rose early and corrupted all their deeds.” ”

There can be no compromise or apology for Christianity in America.  Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)  While we are not violent or unkind toward those who worship false gods, we must promote truth and not consider their beliefs equal to the truth found only in Christianity.  John 2:22: “Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ?  He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.”  False religious organizations must not be allowed tax exemption or any accommodations that promote their lies.  Such benefits should apply only to Christianity.  If our nation is to be protected, made prosperous, and otherwise be blessed by the one true God, then we must be obedient to Him and acknowledge that He alone is God.

Those of us who call ourselves Christians can also be guilty of worshipping false gods.  We can convince ourselves that God is tolerant of our “little” sins (profanity, lust, lies, gossip, or whatever else that He tells us is sin).  Making up our own god that judges us how we want to be judged is a sin called idolatry, just like bowing or praying to a statue.  Certainly God is full of forgiveness and mercy, but He also loves justice and will not be compromised.  Daniel 9:9 tells us, “To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him.”  Psalm 33:5 says, “He loves righteousness and justice”.    There are rewards and consequences for our choices and behavior.  He tells us in Galatians 6:7, “Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows he will also reap.”  Isaiah 66:2: “This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at My word.”  Psalm 33:12: “Blessed is the nation whose god is the LORD.”  The results of our choices and behavior will be manifested in our short life in this world and forever in the next, and the results of our collective choices and behavior in America are revealed in the declining prosperity and protection that we formerly enjoyed.

A return to a blessed and secure America requires the right choice.  Deuteronomy 30:19: “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live”.  Our descendants have no choice in what kind of country we leave them, but our choices now affect not only us but also our children and grandchildren.

The United States Constitution was based on the truth of God’s Word found in the scriptures of the Holy Bible.  The freedom of religion mentioned in the First Amendment to the Constitution applies only to Christianity.  This is obvious from the writings of the framers of the Constitution.  Regardless of the Constitution and its framers, truth cannot be compromised.  Truth comes from one source, and that source is the Creator of the universe and all that is therein.  We would do well as individuals and as a nation to learn what pleases Him by reading the scriptures and praying to Him, and by obeying Him.  Romans 12:2, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”  Philippians 4:19, “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Another chunk of America falls away as Hillary Clinton evades punishment for yet another crime.  The latest high crime, negligence in the handling of classified material, is being swept under the rug.  This is obviously an impeachable offense, and yet she is still in the running for the presidency.  How much lawlessness can the nation take before it slides into complete chaos?  It is time for serious involvement of Christians and Constitutionalists.

Christian principles, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution propelled the United States to the status of the greatest nation in the world.  It enjoyed protection, prosperity, and freedom like no other until it turned from the ideals, and from the One, that had made it great.  There is only one way to regain the protection, prosperity, and freedom that we once enjoyed, and that is to return to the Declaration, the Constitution, and most of all, to Truth which is Jesus Christ.

A half-hearted return is not enough.  At this point, our condition requires aggressive treatment.  The book of Jonah in the Holy Bible tells us that the wickedness of the city of Nineveh came up before God.  Jonah finally obeyed God and preached in Nineveh that in forty days it would be overthrown.  Realizing that their evil ways were about to bring destruction on them, the people repented, from the king down to the least of them.  They fasted from food and drink.  They humbled themselves by putting on sackcloth.  They even put sackcloth on the animals and the king sat in ashes in hopes that God would change His plan for their destruction, which He did because of their repentance.

Who knows if God plans to destroy the United States in forty days?  We may already be destroyed and not even realize it.  Our decline may continue to be gradual, but the former greatness of the country is certainly no more.  How wicked many Americans have become to believe the lies promulgated in our country, and how wicked others have become to tolerate the deception.  Perhaps topping the long list of lies is the insanely ludicrous idea that bathrooms, showers, and dressing rooms should be shared by opposite sexes.  To top off the top of the list is that the president of the United States, Barack Obama, is the chief proponent of this idiocy!  The president is supposed to be a mature, intelligent, and honorable man, but the leader of our nation wants men to be in the same room where our wives, daughters, and mothers are undressed, and women to be in the same room where husbands, sons, and dads are undressed.  The president and those in government who are instituting this are mentally unstable and should have already been removed from office.  Those outside of government that are promoting this should be quashed.

These mentally unstable people are pushing for those who are also mentally unstable to be allowed in the military, where they will be allowed to carry and use deadly weapons.  They have already forced in those who act upon a sexual attraction to the same sex.  Now they are forcing in those who think they are the opposite sex of what they actually are.  The same crowd promoting this is the one decrying guns falling into the hands of the mentally unstable due to what they consider inadequate background checks for gun purchases.  The absurdity of this is beyond words but sadly, insane people and those who are unwilling to recognize and acknowledge their insanity are controlling our country’s policies.

These are of the same ilk as those who consider good and acceptable the dismembering, murdering, and harvesting for profit the organs of babies in the womb.  They are those that desire the country to be flooded with illegal immigrants to the point of our nation being unrecognizable and our social systems being overrun.  They are those who think that Islam, a religion and form of government that teaches to convert, kill, or enslave whoever disagrees with them, is a religion of peace.  They think that debt is the path to prosperity.  They either ignore the Constitution or interpret it to say whatever they want it to say.  They are deranged, evil, or both.

Day by day the country slips away.  Will we leave our children a land of the free, or will it be a land of enslavement, misery, and havoc because we let America become the home of the selfish and cowardly?  It is time to repent and make things right.  When we repent and seek the Lord with all our heart, He will lead us in what action to take.  We must be willing to be used by Him.  When we come up from our knees we must stand for Truth, or we will surely fall.

There is common ground that explains why the supposed defenders of the female, the presumed rescuers of the downtrodden, and the promoters of perversion steer clear of rebuking those who degrade women, convert humanitarian aid to military use, and execute homosexuals. Progressivism and Islam seem to have nothing in common, but they have one important connection that keeps those on the political left from decrying Islam, and that connection is death.

Progressives appear to promote the improvement of the human condition. Their method of operation is through expanded government control of peoples’ lives and money. They hold to whatever “truth” suits them at the time, while spurning absolute truth. They believe the lie that more money and more government will cure the ills of the world. To Progressives, truth is the source of the world’s problems and contrary to their ideology. They ignore the obvious, such as that through self-government, capitalism, and most importantly, faith in the Creator, America became the wealthiest, freest, most generous, and perhaps most protected nation on earth. Instead of keeping with these principles that have attracted millions to this country, Progressives are bent on destroying these principles and the nation built upon them. Many among the Republican Party leadership can be counted among them.

Just as truth represents life, lies represent death. The lies of Progressivism lead to the death of marriage and family, the death of infants, the death of those deemed unworthy of life, the death of freedom, and the death of America. Their fear of truth provokes them to quash opposition, just as the lies of Islam incite the cowardly behavior of men hiding their faces and themselves behind women and children; and to kill anyone whose life can be taken to promote their demented doctrine.

Islam and Progressivism both promote the death of America by “fundamentally changing America”. There is a choice. Accept truth and life. Then if God allows, return to an America of freedom, prosperity, and protection; or choose a dogma of deceit and suffer the consequences of lies, which is subjugation, ruin, and death.
