If America is to be great again, it must become Godly again.  It is not enough to secure the borders, cut taxes, or create jobs.  While these issues are important and necessary, the moral issues will make or break America, or any other country for that matter.  More accurately, whether America repents and returns to its Christian roots will determine whether America will be great again.

The Left and other non-Christians advance their evil that is destroying America.  Christians must enthusiastically advance truth, humility, and righteousness (Psalm 45:4).  We cannot afford to keep it to ourselves because our future and the future of our children is at stake.  America has been a source of freedom and truth for the world, but we have become a source of bondage and lies by our complacency and corruption.  We have allowed wickedness to corrupt our nation through media, government, and the education system. We have been overwhelmed with the lies of the Left.  It is time to overwhelm the Left with Truth.

We cannot make our own right and wrong.  The Creator, as mentioned in our Declaration of Independence, has given us our rights, and a standard of right and wrong.  These standards are unchangeable, such as that murder is wrong, even the murder of an unborn baby.  A man pretending to be a woman or a woman pretending to be a man is wrong.  Men with men and women with women as if they were boyfriend and girlfriend or a married couple is wrong. Pornography and profanity are wrong and are not protected by “freedom of speech”.  All religions other than Christianity are false religions and are not protected by “freedom of religion”, and are not to be condoned by our government.  There are many other lies of the Left that need to be corrected, such as concerning the second amendment, border security, taxes, and government spending to name a few.

Those in offices of government, those seeking government office, and we as a people should follow the example of Roy Moore, the Alabama U. S. Senate candidate of 2017.  Below are two links that show what he is about and the direction that we the people ought to be moving.

How long will we let the Left perpetrate their lies?  Will we consider them acceptable and sensible?  The speech and behavior that they espouse as liberating, beneficial, and honorable is obviously unwholesome, destructive and dangerous.  Let the Lord Jesus Christ deliver us from deception and delusion to truth and reality.

 

 

What is it with progressives, socialists, communists, liberals, the left, or whatever they may be called, that make them want to destroy themselves and everyone else?  Ephesians 4:17-19 gives insight into their foolishness: “…in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.”  Proverbs 16:25 also helps explain their thinking: “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”  The thinking and behavior of progressives is bizarre.   What is even more absurd is that more and more people who are not considered progressive are caving in to such insanity and accepting it, instead of taking a stand against it.

The acceleration of the progressives’ false reality seems to have begun during Bill Clinton’s impeachment process with his illusive statement, “It depends upon what the definition of ‘is’ is.”  They seem to have taken this cue and ran with it, developing the mantra of not, “it is what it is”, but “it is what I think it is”.  This unreasonable and dangerous way of thinking is the only way to their never-will-be-had goal of a la-la land utopia built by man and false gods.  It is an imaginary way to an imaginary destination.  While they are dwelling in a country that has been more prosperous and protected than perhaps any in history, where opportunity and freedom abound, they do their best to tear it down.  If they succeed, they can then stay in their pretend world and make believe that there are jobs, health care, protection of life and property, and a healthy, stable population.  However, as God has done in the past He will “scatter the proud in the imagination of their hearts” (Luke 1:51).

Progressives are proud in that they take truth, which is in Jesus Christ alone, and declare it false while they take the imagination of their hearts and declare it to be true.  Such imagination concocts ideas such as that it is acceptable to kill unborn babies; marriage can be other than between one man and one woman; same sex attraction is something that should be acted upon and is acceptable; a person can be male, female, or anything they can imagine themselves to be, and it is fine for them to enter and use any bathroom, changing room, or locker room and shower facility that they so desire; a nation can remain prosperous by spending more than it has available to spend; elections can be honest without voters having to identify themselves; pornography and dressing pornographically is not behavior but is free speech and causes no harm to families; profanity is normal and acceptable; climate change is dangerous and due to man’s production of plant nourishing carbon dioxide, not part of a natural cycle; the earth is over populated; the idea of individual sovereign nations is obsolete while a world government is the way to peace and security; it is necessary to force people to give to others; it is necessary to force people to associate; bigger government and more taxes improves the economy; gambling is beneficial to society;  the Constitution changes to fit imaginations; a nation can be a nation without borders; we can be a safe and prosperous country by letting in anyone who wants in regardless of whether they will assimilate or obey our laws; the Constitution and laws only apply in certain circumstances and to certain people; and God will bless a nation that accepts false religions and false gods as equal to the truth of the gospel found only in Christianity, even if Muslim chaplains are allowed in the military.

Let’s unfold that last statement.  Before Israel began to defeat the enemies of God in the land that he promised to them, the Israelites had been given the Ten Commandments, the first of which commands that they should have no other gods beside the one true God that gave them the commandments.  What would have been the outcome if the Israelite army had in their ranks soldiers, commanders, and priests that worshiped Baal, Asherah, or any other false god?  God likely would have left the Israelites to be destroyed by the giants that they ultimately defeated, for it was not in their own power that the Israelites destroyed their enemies, but as they were told, “the LORD your God Himself fights for you” (Deuteronomy 3: 22).  Will the LORD God Himself fight for America when we not only tolerate but promote the teachings and worship of false gods?  America’s founders dedicated the country to the spreading of the good news that through repentance of our sins and the belief that Jesus, God’s only Son, paid the price of death for our sins, was resurrected, ascended to heaven, and is coming back to receive those who call Him Lord and walk in obedience to Him by the power He gives us, we have been saved by Him from eternal punishment and given the gift of eternal life and blessing.  He “has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel” (2 Timothy 1: 10).

Making up our own reality and allowing false gods in our nation is a death wish.  We cannot force Truth upon anyone, like Islam tries to force lies upon people, but if we are to be blessed and protected by God as we have been in the past, we must not promote or condone falsehood.  Life or death, blessings or curses; we make our choices moment by moment.

 

 

 

There are at least three issues that are of paramount importance to America’s resurgence. President Trump is on point so far in his presidency on key issues that are vital to this renewal.  However, only one of the top three has been positively addressed, one has been negatively addressed, and the other has not been addressed at all.

Steps have been taken to release the stranglehold of Obamacare, to hasten infrastructure projects, to secure our borders, to get a handle on immigration, and to stem corruption in Washington resulting from former administration officials turned lobbyists.  New regulations pushed by the former administration have been halted, the United States has withdrawn from the entanglement of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a freeze has been placed on federal hiring, and common sense job creation moves have been made in reducing regulatory burdens and giving a go ahead for major pipeline construction.  Serious plans also have been made to destroy the scourge of ISIS.

A popular saying during Bill Clinton’s presidential campaign was, “It’s the economy, stupid.”  This statement was an attempt to make the point that the economy was the main issue concerning America.  This was wrong then as it is now.  The economy and all other issues are secondary to moral issues.  To put it bluntly, moral issues are sin issues.  Like it or not, God is real and He has real issues with moral issues.  This is because He is sinless, pure, and holy; and since He made us in His image, He wants us to be sinless, pure, and holy for His glory and for our benefit.  While we all fall very short of this ideal, He will cleanse us through the sacrificed blood of Jesus and empower us by the Holy Spirit if we truly want Him to do this.

The three main moral issues that concern our nation are abortion, sexual deviancy, and pornography, which are related.  President Trump has partially corrected our course as a nation on the killing of unborn babies by reinstating a policy that former president Obama had overturned.  This is called the Mexico City Policy, which restricts US funding for abortions.

At this point, sexual deviancy has been upheld by President Trump.  He has left in place an order that requires federal contractors to hire homosexuals and transsexuals, regardless of the employers’ beliefs on such behavior and God’s orders on this matter, which include the following from the book of Romans, chapter 1:

¹⁸ The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, ¹⁹ since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. ²⁰ For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

²¹ For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. ²² Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools ²³ and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

²⁴ Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. ²⁵ They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

²⁶ Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. ²⁷ In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

²⁸ Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. ²⁹ They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, ³⁰ slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; ³¹ they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. ³² Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

As God has stated, He has made Himself clear on this matter as to what our behavior should be, and He has set the standards of what is good and what is bad.  We can choose to defy Him, but in the end we will see that such a choice is great folly.  We can choose to obey Him, and in the end see the great wisdom in this choice.

The president has yet to make a stand against the epidemic of pornography, which is a catalyst for the before mentioned issues of abortion and sexual deviancy; and other crimes such as pedophilia, rape, battery, and murder.  Its availability and promotion by many, including those with great influence such as business owners and corporations, is devastating to individuals, families, and the nation.

Proverbs 14:34 tells us, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.”  Hosea 4:6, “my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.”  Hosea 4:14, “a people without understanding will come to ruin.”  We may guard our borders, increase our wealth, and build our infrastructure, but “Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain.  Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)  A nation of fools will not last.  May we as a nation open our eyes to the deception of the main stream media, the enemy, and our own flesh; and act upon what is true.  May we speak up for our children as Proverbs 31:8 says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves”.

West and East are more than directions.  They are mind-sets that have their origins in the times when there was war in heaven and when the earth was new.  The terms West and East are synonymous with life and death, righteousness and evil, freedom and bondage, and love and hate.

“Then war broke out in heaven.  Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.  But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.  The great dragon was hurled down-that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray.  He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.”  (Revelation 12:7-9)

This catastrophic event set the stage for everyone on earth experiencing happiness, unhappiness, joy, sorrow, pleasure, pain, and other circumstances that we find ourselves in as we walk through the minefield of this life.  The war that began in heaven continues to rage around us, but much like the blowing wind that we cannot see, we are equipped only to see and experience the effects.

God gave the ability to choose to the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, and in an instance of being tempted by the ancient serpent, they chose to disobey God.  Through this act of disobedience Adam involved all of mankind in the war that began in heaven.  Common to any war there is death, dismemberment, and destruction.  This war is no different.  The life of ease that Adam and Eve experienced in the Garden of Eden where their Creator placed them was traded for a life of hard work, pain, and suffering. (Genesis 2 and 3)

The scriptures of the Bible contain the history of the love of God for mankind and how He made a way for us to be on His winning side of the war.  This way is only through His son, Jesus Christ.  John 3:16 tells us, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”  Even those who have not read or heard of Jesus are without excuse.  In Romans 2:12-16 we are told, “For as many who have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.”

The Western mind-set is based upon the teachings of Jesus Christ; more specifically, His first and second greatest commandments.  Jesus said, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:37-40)  Although much of Western civilization has strayed from this teaching in many ways in the past and present, it is still the basis of our laws and thoughts.  Our way of life is founded upon Jesus Christ who is God, the only true god that became a sinless man to pay the price of death for our sins so that if we repent of our sins and believe in this good news we will have everlasting life.  This belief places value on faith in God’s Word, on life, on family, on mercy, on justice, on the weak, on every person, and on the country God has given us to live in.

Eastern thought is very different from and is opposed to Western thought.  Most of the world is inclined to its ideas, and many in the West that are known as Liberals, Progressives, Socialists, Leftists, or Communists are given to this thinking.  It is rooted in the irrational thought and intent that led to the rebellion in heaven.  The propensity to rebel is in everyone, and when it is given in to, it is called sin.  Those of the West know, or at least are influenced by, the truth that power to overcome sin is found in Jesus Christ.  Those of the East reject this power, resulting in false beliefs and deception.  In short, Western thought is based on truth, while Eastern thought is based on lies.  The lies are varied, such as the idea that there is no God; the idea that there are many Gods; the idea that each person comes to God in his own way; and the idea that we are all God or will become God.  There is also the lie that there is one God, but there is no Saviour, and that we must be saved by our own works.

One form of Eastern thought leads to hatred of those whose thinking is in opposition to their own, specifically the Islamic teaching to kill or enslave such people.  The difference between the Western way of promoting beliefs through love and this mind-set of hate is striking.  Their hatred is manifested in their treatment of women and children, their ruthlessness, their disregard for life, and their cowardice that leads them to harm the innocent, hide their faces, and send women and children on suicide missions to kill others.

This same spirit of hate, destruction, and cowardice is evident in riots and senseless shootings that have become common occurrences.  It is also apparent in the maltreatment of those who stand firm in truth concerning male and female, marriage, and the lives of babies.  There is a similarity of hate, ruthlessness, and destructive behavior between Islam and the Left.

West and East cannot mix.  There is one or the other.  Each person must decide which philosophy they will follow.  The one that is based on love, truth, and common sense, or the one that is based on hate, deceit, and irrationality; the one that is on the side of the Creator, or the one that is on the side of the serpent; the one that is on the winning side, or the one that is on the losing side, the one that is true, or the one that is a lie.  God tells us in the Bible, specifically in the book of Revelation, how it turns out.

It is not the economy, national defense, the environment, healthcare, affordable energy, or any other issue that needs to be addressed until we get the moral issues corrected.  The stability and wholesomeness of America hinges on a proper relationship with the One who establishes and tears down nations.

In Zephaniah 3:1-7, the LORD tells us: “Woe to her who is rebellious and polluted, to the oppressing city! She has not obeyed His voice, she has not received correction; she has not trusted in the LORD, she has not drawn near to her God.  Her princes in her midst are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves that leave not a bone till morning.  Her prophets are insolent, treacherous people; her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.  The LORD is righteous in her midst, He will do no unrighteousness.  Every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails, but the unjust knows no shame.  “I have cut off nations, their fortresses are devastated; I have made their streets desolate, with none passing by.  Their cities are destroyed; there is no one, no inhabitant.  I said, ‘Surely you will fear Me, you will receive instruction’- so that her dwelling would not be cut off, despite everything for which I punished her.  But they rose early and corrupted all their deeds.” ”

There can be no compromise or apology for Christianity in America.  Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)  While we are not violent or unkind toward those who worship false gods, we must promote truth and not consider their beliefs equal to the truth found only in Christianity.  John 2:22: “Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ?  He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.”  False religious organizations must not be allowed tax exemption or any accommodations that promote their lies.  Such benefits should apply only to Christianity.  If our nation is to be protected, made prosperous, and otherwise be blessed by the one true God, then we must be obedient to Him and acknowledge that He alone is God.

Those of us who call ourselves Christians can also be guilty of worshipping false gods.  We can convince ourselves that God is tolerant of our “little” sins (profanity, lust, lies, gossip, or whatever else that He tells us is sin).  Making up our own god that judges us how we want to be judged is a sin called idolatry, just like bowing or praying to a statue.  Certainly God is full of forgiveness and mercy, but He also loves justice and will not be compromised.  Daniel 9:9 tells us, “To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him.”  Psalm 33:5 says, “He loves righteousness and justice”.    There are rewards and consequences for our choices and behavior.  He tells us in Galatians 6:7, “Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows he will also reap.”  Isaiah 66:2: “This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at My word.”  Psalm 33:12: “Blessed is the nation whose god is the LORD.”  The results of our choices and behavior will be manifested in our short life in this world and forever in the next, and the results of our collective choices and behavior in America are revealed in the declining prosperity and protection that we formerly enjoyed.

A return to a blessed and secure America requires the right choice.  Deuteronomy 30:19: “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live”.  Our descendants have no choice in what kind of country we leave them, but our choices now affect not only us but also our children and grandchildren.

The United States Constitution was based on the truth of God’s Word found in the scriptures of the Holy Bible.  The freedom of religion mentioned in the First Amendment to the Constitution applies only to Christianity.  This is obvious from the writings of the framers of the Constitution.  Regardless of the Constitution and its framers, truth cannot be compromised.  Truth comes from one source, and that source is the Creator of the universe and all that is therein.  We would do well as individuals and as a nation to learn what pleases Him by reading the scriptures and praying to Him, and by obeying Him.  Romans 12:2, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”  Philippians 4:19, “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

House Judiciary Committee, 1854Had the people, during the Revolution, had a suspicion of any attempt to war against Christianity, that Revolution would have been strangled in its cradle… In this age, there can be no substitute for Christianity… That was the religion of the founders of the republic and they expected it to remain the religion of their descendants.
